Online Best RV8 Mods survey to be launched

When a group of V8 enthusiasts were having a discussion before the briefing for the BMH Body Plant tour at Witney in September this year, Roger Aldridge came up with a good idea when he suggested putting together a list of the best RV8 modifications and then getting fellow members to rate them. Clearly rechipping, power steering and windstoppers are popular modifications which many RV8 enthusiasts have had done but we have also seen modifications like the Hoyle IRS upgrade or even an LPG modification.

In response to a message posted on the original V8BB by Roger about an Best RV8 Mods survey, we have had many suggestions from fellow members of the modifications they feel would be in their Best RV8 Mods list. So we have compiled a list of 40 modifications and set up an online survey which will be launched on the V8 website next week. On that form you will be able to rate each modification you have carried out on five key criteria - the technical improvement, the cosmetic improvement, the safety improvement, the improvement in driving experience and a rating of the value for money. The online survey form is straightforward and should take members around five to ten minutes to complete. When you reach the foot of the form you will need to click SEND so your survey data will be sent automatically to the V8 Webmaster.

Those individual ratings will then be weighted so we end up with an overall score for each modification from which we will produce the list of the top ten Best RV8 Mods.
A Best RV8 Mods report will be published later and survey participants will get a preview of the report by email before it is published later. The report will be an authoritative guide to the range of modifications for the RV8 and be of real interest for existing RV8 owners as well as enthusiasts considering purchasing an RV8. If you have any queries over the survey, please contact the V8 Webmaster. Email
