Scratch reduction on an RV8 rear window
Philip Irving posted a note on the V8BB of his experience with a useful product saying "now that the weather is getting colder, I have been using the car more frequently around town with the hood installed. I think the hood on my car is original, and is in very good condition overall with no cuts or damage. The rear windshield however is another matter and looks quite scuffed and scratched after 20 years of use. Based on the advice of a friend at work, I realise there are products on the market specifically for polishing the plastic screens on cabrios. From that list I was able to get a product in the local ATU shop here in Bonn, called Dr. Wack. I have to say the effect on the window is really impressive. The worst scratches are still there but the rest is really clear now - I will try again later today for a second coat and see how we go." (Sept 13)

Rear Window Polish from Dr Wack
Plastic rear screens on convertible cars become turbid and milky over time through weather effects, contamination and ageing. This can impair the visibility and lead to glares, especially at night. Dr

Wack has developed a plastic rear window polish that is very effective where a rear windscreen fitted to hoods of convertible sportscars like an RV8 which has become scratched and matt.
