to Rousham House & Gardens in Oxfordshire
Wednesday 7th June 2023
The house is only open to special tour groups by prior arrangement
so in the morning a guided tour of Rousham House was arranged

to Sywell Aerodrome and an informal lunch

Aerodrome is
set in the
heart
of Northamptonshire,
just northeast of Northampton, and is
one of
the UK’s leading General Aviation airfields. The
Aviator's hotel, bar and restaurant are unique, not just
in their Art Deco style but also with wonderful views across
the bustling airfield at Sywell Aerodrome.
Formerly the original Pilots Clubhouse and Officers Mess during

With the hot sunshine many members welcomed the opportunity
to have tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake sitting with
fellow members in the V8 Marquee. Photo

MGBGTV8
50th Anniversary Track Parade at Silverstone
Saturday 10th June 2023 at
lunchtime
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the launch of the MGBGTV8
model in August 1973 there was a Parade of 50 MGBGTV8s,
together with other MGV8 enthusiasts with MGV8 Conversions (including
V8 Roadsters) and RV8s, on the track at Silverstone in June
2023. It was a rare opportunity to drive an MGV8 on the track
at Silverstone at a modest speed behind the course car controlling
the event.
