V8 Marquee at MGLive! 2022 Awards to two V8 members Club President John Day and Club Chairman Dave Tynan presented Chris Hunt Cooke and Victor Smith each with an Honorary Member award for their support for the Club over many years. Many thanks to the volunteers who provided the homemade cakes and those who were on the refreshment table serving tea and coffee over the weekend. Posted: 220617 Members' MGV8s parked up alongside the V8 Marquee located in the CRB Village where the Centres, Registers and Branches within the Club have their marquees. It's a popular place for members where they can meet up for friends - for many something that was not possible in person for several years because of the Covid constraints. On the right is Walter Kallenberg, over from Germany and attending his 40th annual Club event at Silverstone. Next to Walter is Tudur Jones who contributed two jam sponge cakes for the refreshment table in the marquee. On the left is Tony Smith who has volunteered to run the V8 Scottish Borders Tour in September 2022. Tour details Wonderful weather at MGLive! 2022 V8 members enjoyed glorious sunshine with a refreshing breeze and met up with fellow V8 members at the V8 Marquee for welcome refreshments. V8 AGM 2022 The V8 AGM was held at noon on Sunday 12th June at the MGLive! event. Four co-opted members were elected to the V8 Committee - Keith Belcher (as our Pricewatch contributor), Peter Berry (as our new V8 Scribe), Peter Ellis (as the new workshop notes editor) and Dugald MacNeill as the new V8 Registrar.
