V8 website down on Thursday

Several members have contacted the V8 webmaster as they had been unable to access the V8 website on Thursday afternoon until the following day. The explanation is our webhost had serious difficulties with their webhosting service and their engineering team worked through the night to resolve the issues.

Our engineering team worked throughout the night to resolve the issues we experienced with our network node at Global Switch yesterday. The work completed earlier this morning and services have returned to normal.

If you are continuing to experience service disruption, then please contact our service desk or your client service manager.

Once again, our sincere apologies for the business disruption this has caused.

You may have had difficulties seeing the V8 website from Thursday afternoon until the following morning on Friday this week and this was because we understand that our webhost Nasstar experienced serious "issues with their network node". This also resulted in our webmaster not being able to upload NEWS items and other new material to the V8 website until today, Saturday.
