After
several postponements of the Club's major annual MGLive! weekend
event because of Covid constraints, the team of Club Office
members and volunteers has been working hard on the serious
task of planning and arranging the Club's major annual event
- MGLive! 2022. The V8 Register is planning its contribution
there not least by having a large V8 Marquee as usual.
V8 Marquee will have two attractive features over the weekend
- Clive Wheatley's MGV8 replacement parts stall and also plenty
of tables and chairs where V8 enthusiasts and their family members
and friends will be able enjoy meeting up with plenty of room
to sit and enjoy their refreshments. V8

National Trust Day Visit to The Workhouse at Southwell
Ken
Clayton has arranged a National Trust Day group visit
to The Workshouse in Southwell in Nottinghamshire. Built
in 1824, The Workhouse is the best preserved example of
the hundreds of workhouses built across the country. The
system implemented here was developed by the Reverend
John T. Becher and George Nicholls whose ideas shaped
the way in which the poor were treated during the 19th
century. Location of Southwell Workhouse is west of Newark
on Trent. Map

MGV8
replacement parts on sale at Clive Wheatley mgv8parts
stand
On one side of the V8 Marquee on both days, Clive will
have a table with plenty of MGV8 replacement parts on
sale. The first replacement RV8 rear lamp units Clive
has been resourcing with fellow member Jim Greenhill should
be available for display so members in need of a replacement
unit for a damaged lamp on their RV8 should be able to
examine one and place an order. Clive is a generous sponsor
of V8 Register events and is helping us pay the rental
charge for the V8 Marquee. Website |
