| Satnav
to help you beat the traffic congestion
In their "Weekly Scoop" the Which? magazine has highlighted
two satnavs which have useful live traffic features which can
help you get round traffic congestion - one a budget model and the
other with "just about every bell and whistle"

How does live traffic data work?
Live traffic data works by looking at road conditions along your route
and send the information to your satnav, which can then adjust your
journey if a faster route is available. This traffic information can
come from a range of sources - these include speed and location data
from other vehicles on the road, information from fellow satnav owners,
and traditional traffic reports. Some satnavs take historical data
into account too, predicting rush hours or holiday tailbacks before
they even happen, based on previous traffic reports.

 What is IFTTT?
It is short for If This, Then That. IFTTT is an easy way
to automate tasks that might otherwise be repetitive or unable to
talk to each other. It works like this: users are guided through a
process to make simple scripts orrecipes, where some type
of event in one device or service automatically triggers an action
in another. IFTTT is also completely free, and well supported. There
are now more than 300 channels which are what you reference
when creating recipes spread across a range of devices and
services, including social networks, smart appliances, smart home
            systems and devices. More
