Snetterton
Update
Tyrells Restaurant will not be open
to visitors & spectators at the Club's meeting at Snetterton
on Saturday 5th September 2020
We have seen flip-flop mixed information on whether Tyrells Restaurant
would be open to Visitors & Spectators but it seems the only
refreshment point for Visitors & Spectators will be the Snack
Bar near Murrays Corner. So V8 Members will be meeting
there for breakfast - it's next to the parking area.
For more information contact Victor Smith. Contacts
& Snetterton
Please note - we understand the event is open to spectators but
of course the UK Government could at any time make national or local
lockdowns or other changes to permissions for mass gatherings.

Entrance
to Snetterton Circuit from the A11 via the ticket control
point

Howard Gosling says that "during the online Race Officials'
meeting yesterday evening we were told that as the bar area
of Tyrells Restaurant is reserved for the Race Stewards' use
and that Tyrells Restaurant will NOT be open to the Public
(visitors/spectators) at the Club's race meeting this weekend.
There is a snack bar near Murray
corner and that is for
the Public (visitors/spectators)". See

The chart above shows you the entrance from the A11 via the
ticket control point, then a bridge over Bentley Straight
with the snack bar ahead and
the parking area alongside the entrance route. The snack bar
will offer food and drink as take-aways.

Information
The MG Car Club's end of year two day race meeting at Snetterton
has been a popular place for MGV8 enthusiasts to meet up but
this year the event is almost a month earlier over the weekend
of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September. With so many V8
events cancelled or postponed this year because of the pestilence,
we are planning a V8 Gathering at Snetterton on Saturday
5th September. with prudent social distancing.
Travelling early in the day you can enjoy cool air and clear
roads, so many V8 Members will aim to have a take-away
breakfast at the Snack Bar by Murrays
Corner at the Circuit. You can park up
in the grass shortly after you cross over the bridge after
the ticket control point at the entrance from the A11.
Note tickets to enter the Circuit must be purchased
in advance

drink service
The COVID guidelines say the Circuit will be offering "a
takeaway service with a greater emphasis on "Grab and Go"
items to reduce queuing times". They add that "self-service
buffets and salad bars will be closed" and all visitors
"will be expected to wear a face mask covering when they
enter any shops or when you purchase takeaway food and drink
from their restaurants".
Meeting places for V8 Members
The Circuit website says "the general public will not have
any access to the working areas (for example the paddock and
pit lane) and overnight stays for the public are not permitted
at this race meeting.
When meeting up with fellow V8 Register members please observe
prudent social distancing and avoid close contact with groups
of more than 10 people. |
