Update
- Tyrells Restaurant will be open for take-aways
We understand from two Club members who work a couple of days
each week at Snetterton Circuit that Tyrells Restaurant will
be open to visitors and spectators for take-aways at the Clubs
event there on 5th/6th September. It seems that pedestrian access
from the parking area to Tyrells will be available so we should
be able to get there despite the "Restricted Access"
diagram posted on the Snetterton website. So, weather permitting,
we hope to meet up for breakfast there and hopefully the wooden
tableson the grassed area outside Tyrells will be available
as usual. See details of the Restricted Access area posted on
the Snetterton website. More
Information
The Club's end of year two day race meeting at Snetterton has
been a popular place for MGV8 enthusiasts to meet up but this
year the event is almost a month earlier over the weekend of
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September. With so many V8 events
cancelled or postponed this year because of the pestilence,
we are planning a V8 Gathering at Snetterton on Saturday
5th September. with prudent social distancing.
Travelling early in the day you can enjoy cool air and clear
roads, so many V8 Members will aim to have a take-away breakfast
from Tyrells Restaurant at the Circuit. You can park
up in the grass shortly after you cross over the bridge
after the ticket control point at the entrance. Note
tickets to enter the Circuit must be purchased in advance
- see below.

Parking
at Snetterton Circuit
Signage will be in place for vehicle parking arrangements -
follow the signs to park up your MGV8.
Takeaway food &
drink service
The COVID guidelines say the Circuit will be offering "a
takeaway service with a greater emphasis on "Grab and Go"
items to reduce queuing times". They add that "self-service
buffets and salad bars will be closed" and all visitors
"will be expected to wear a face mask covering when they
enter any shops or when you purchase takeaway food and drink
from their restaurants".
Meeting places for V8 Members
The Circuit website says "the general public will not have
any access to the working areas (for example the paddock and
pit lane) and overnight stays for the public are not permitted
at this race meeting.
The likely meeting places for V8 members will be near Tyrells
Restaurant and in the parking area.
When meeting up with fellow V8 Register members please observe
prudent social distancing and avoid close contact with groups
of more than 10 people. |
Tickets
must be purchased in advance
MSV is restricting its attendance numbers significantly to ensure
visitors can easily socially distance - as such you will need
to purchase your tickets in advance to guarantee admission.
One day adult ticket is £12 - you can buy your
ticket online by going to the Snetterton Circuit website via
the link below and then print off your ticket for presentation
at the ticket control point at the Circuit::

Note on the Circuit website: book with confidence
"You can book tickets to MSV race meetings safe in the
knowledge that if further government restrictions prevent us
being able to admit spectators, you will be entitled to a credit
or refund".
