V8 Kent Tour 2020 Tuesday 22nd to Saturday 26th September 2020 The next V8 Tour in the popular series will be based near Tenterden in Kent. The week's activities and visits will include: Monday Arrive at the hotel from 14:00, no earlier. There will be a champagne (not prosecco) reception hosted by the Tour Organiser at 18:30 in the restaurant where the tour packs will be handed out and the organiser will explain the week's activities. Dinner will follow. Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday There will be trips to Canterbury, Rochester, and Chatham to include the famous dockyard, Leeds Castle, Winston Churchill's home at Chartwell, Sissinghurst House and Gardens and two other National Trust properties plus a full tour around the south and east coast of Kent. Precise details of these visits will be finalised during next Spring. There will be a guest speaker one evening and a quiz on the Thursday evening. To enter this enjoyable tour there are two steps: Step 1 Contact the Tour Organiser by email or telephone to book a place on the V8 Kent Tour 2020 then, subject to there being places remaining available on the tour, the Tour Organiser will reply requesting that you complete the "Booking Form" and agree to pay a sum (Tour Fee) to cover the out of pocket expenses he incurs on your behalf arranging entry fees to places you will visit and refreshments. Return your tour Booking Form to the Tour Organiser and confirm you accept the tour indemnity on the "Booking Form". Upon receipt of your "Booking Form" and your payment of the Tour Fee, the Tour Organiser will provide you with the "Booking Code" for The Little Silver Country Hotel. The £60 Tour Fee is payable in advance directly to the Tour Organiser for the tour pack as all the costs he will have been paid ahead of the event! Booking Form What does the payment to the Tour Organiser cover? The payment will cover out of pocket expenses he will incur on your behalf arranging entry into some of the visitor attractions we plan to visit and other items. You will NOT receive the special rate agreed with the hotel by the Tour Organiser without your making a booking with the Tour Organiser and paying the Tour Fee when he will issue a "Booking Code". More Event is now fully booked Little Silver Country Hotel at Tenterden in Kent The Little Silver Country Hotel is a delightful privately owned hotel, set in the heart of the ‘Garden of England’. Space at this hotel is very limited as it is not a large hotel or part of a hotel group chain. It is privately owned and run and thus the facilities and service are of an exceptionally high standard. There are only 16 rooms. Three are superior, two others have disabled facilities and three are twins that can be made into doubles. All the rooms will be at the same rate so it must be first come first served. The restaurant has won awards for its cuisine and there will be a choice of menus each evening for dinner. The car park is very secure and not visible from the road. Booking accommodation direct with the hotel - you will need to quote the "Booking Code" which will be issued to you by the Tour Organiser when you make a booking with him. That will enable you to secure the special rate. The hotel staff will ask for the code without which there will be no special room rate. A deposit of at least £25 is payable to the hotel on booking. Hotel rates: Rates are £165 per night per room or £99 for single occupancy to include breakfast and a three course evening meal. Drinks will be extra, there is an extensive wine list and a small bar. Any special dietary requirements need to be agreed with the hotel.
