Alan Dakeyne is a longstanding member of the V8 Register and an enthusiast

We understand that the emergency services cut the roof off his beloved

We
hear from Ken Cothliff, the leader of the Vale of York Natter
in Yorkshire, that their
President (Yorkshire Centre) and friend to all, Alan Dakeyne,
has been injured in a 'T-bone' crash when someone piled into
his MGBGTV8 on the last day of the Caledonian Centre's tour
of the Lake District. Luckily Shirley was not in the passenger
seat otherwise it is likely she would have been seriously injured,
if not killed. Alan is in hospital with several broken ribs,
having been cut out of the car. We understand he is likely to
be in hospital for some time. Ken says "when I know he
is home I will send a "Get Well" card from us all".

the European Event of the Year in May 2009. |
