Posted: 190810 June Wallis was a loyal supporter of the MG Car Club and for many years was seen running her secondhand bookstand at the Club's annual MGLive! weekend event raising funds for a chairty she supported. Her husband and Club President, the late Bill Wallis, was a V8 Register member owning an MGBGTV8 and later an RV8. Bill was also Club Chairman in the 1980s taking over when the Club had experienced a difficult period with its finances, but with his leadership a new executive committee got the Club back to a safer condition so it could develop successfully. June was a lady with a warm and engaging personality but also a very clear mind. Like many people of her age group she rarely talked until recent years of her work during WW2 but her association with Bletchley may be revealed in the obituary that will be released in Safety Fast!
