MGBGTV8 still in daily use in Cornwall Gordon Hesketh-Jones has taken his MGBGTV8 on many long tours on Mainland Europe and beyond. With his "navigator" Jennifer they went to the Continent twice a year, normally a four to five week "wandering" trip. Their journeys have been to Sicily in the far south of Europe and via Denmark and Finland across the Norwegian tundra to the far north of Europe - in fact to the North Cape of Norway. One 5,250 mile trip was to the MG Italia event in Greece, returning via Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic before heading home via Bavaria. V8 Goes East Posted: 190525 Gordon Hesketh-Jones has enjoyed his MGBGTV8, Harvest Gold 1904, for many years and says it "is still in daily use but going in for some bodywork shortly following a minor prang. The mileage in our ownership now over 325,000 and well over 500,000 miles in total. When I applied for the original registration documents, I found out that the first “Registered Keeper” was in fact a Director of Austin Rover - it was his "company car". This explains the interesting numberplate of TOP 70N (TOP TON) as Austin Rover used to register over a thousand cars a year and a former employee told me (in disgust) the “the bosses” always had the best cars and the best/most interesting registration plates!"
