Caledonian Centre has supported the Bo'ness Revival event since its inception
eleven years ago and this year they had a large attendance of V8s of all types,
MGBGTV8s, MG RV8s and MG 260s. Caledonian Centre celebrated the 2018 Launch Anniversary
- 45th for the MGBGTV8, 25th for the RV8 and 15th for the MGZTT260. The V8 is
Citron 0798 which was the car that was on a dramatic ramp on the BL stand for
the launch at the motor show in 1973. The Caledonian Centre won the award for
the best stand among stiff competition! See
our report | Bo'ness
Revival event The organisers of the event say "the
primary aim of the Boness Revival is to preserve the heritage of Scotlands
first purpose built Motor Sport venue, with Boness holding a major, if unsung,
role of Scotlands and the UK s Motor Sport history. Most of the great
names in Motor Sport have competed at Boness, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart,
Stirling Moss to name but a few. As the cost of staging the Boness Revival
Hillclimb increases year on year the organising team are continually seeking ways
to keep the Revival alive and viable. One of the ways we have helped achieve this
aim is by promoting the Boness Revival Classic side of the event, which
has grown into one of the major events on the Scottish Classic Car scene. We do
not make claims about the Revival as a whole being the most prestigious or biggest
event in Scotland, however, we are Scotlands only established combined genuine
historic motor sport and classic car event which is all about giving enthusiastic
owners the opportunity to use their cars, either in the Hillclimb or Classic,
and be part of a friendly event with like-minded fellow enthusiasts".
