V8 Technical Day 2018 will be held at the John Thornley Suite at the MG Car Club's
Headquarters at Kimber House in Abingdon. If you have never visited Club HQ before
now is your chance! The suite is a purpose built room with state of the art presentation
equipment. The programme for the day will cover various aspects of owning
a an MGV8:
 Rechipping an RV8 engine
 Mark Adams, Tornado Systems
 Tornado
Systems specialises in engine management technology, with a particular focus on
the Rover V8 engine in the many vehicles that it has powered.
The companys founder, Mark
Adams, started working with these engines and systems full-time back in 1992.
The team at Tornado have wealth
of experience not only in vehicle software but in mechanical and electrical repair
so they are able to fully understand the complexity of your vehicle. More

 Brief
notes on the chips supplied by Mark Adams and the benefits. Notes

 Replacement
Mazda gearboxes for the MGB & MGBGTV8
 Christian Disney, Vitesse
 With
the availability of replacement parts and original complete gearboxes for the
MGBGTV8 increasingly difficult to find, many owners have looked to alternative
gearboxes as replacements like LT77 and R380 boxes but they too are becoming less
easy to find. Vitesse offer a 5 Speed Mazda Gearbox Conversion Kit for the MGBGTV8.
What is it like, how do the ratios compare with those of the original 4 speed
box with overdrive on top gear, how does it perform, what does the installation
involve and how much does it cost? More
& More

 Q&A
session
The technical Q&A session will have questions submitted ahead
of the event but some taken from those attending on the day. Send your questions
to Steve Newton or alternatively to
Nic Houslip.
