V8 enthusiasts at Morges 2017
SWISS MGV8I/G is a group
for Swiss MGV8 enthusiasts created by Victor Rodrigues in 2012 with the active
support of several MG Car Club members living in Switzerland including Eric Pfändler.
Both are longstanding members of the MG Car Club in the UK and active supporters
of the V8 Register. Their short event prior to the European Event of the Year
2017 in Portugal was a very popular and well run event.

Rodrigues reports "the SWISS MGV8I/G were present
at the last British Car Meeting in the beautiful lakeside village of Morges in
Switzerland on Saturday 7th October. It was a fantastic bright sunny autumn day.
This time I drove my MGBGTV8 to the meeting and fellow Eric Pfändler his
Oxford Blue RV8.
Sixteen MGV8s from Switzerland and France joined us on
the area reserved for the SWISS MGV8/IG. All the MGs were admired by the crowd
of visitors.
The highlight was
a new enthusiast joining us from
Cannes in Southern France with a genuine
factory chrome bumper MGBGTV8 still in original Bracken. He
also owns another MGBGTV8, the car formerly owned by Chris Yates". |
