V8 Derbyshire Tour 2018 Sunday 2nd to Thursday 6th September 2018 The next V8 Tour in the popular series will be based in Derbyshire. The event will include touring the beautiful scenic routes around the Derbyshire dales. There will be a tour of the Peak District National Park, visiting both Derbyshire White Peak and Dark Peak. We hope to visit: Haddon Hall. Described by Simon Jenkins in "1000 Best Houses" as "the most perfect house to survive from the middle ages". Perhaps the most famed of the Sitwells were the literary trio of Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell, who played a huge part in the artistic and literary world in the early part of the last century:Dame Edith Sitwell (1887 - 1964) was a grandly eccentric poet and novelist, Sir Osbert Sitwell (1892-1969) wrote prose, poetry and also many short stories and novels and Sir Sacheverell Sitwell (1897-1988) was well known for his work on art, architecture, ballet and travel. The V8 Register Derbyshire Tour is now "Closed" to further applications. Any further applications, will be placed on a "Reserve List". To enter this enjoyable tour there are two steps: Step 1 Contact the Tour Organisers to book a place on the V8 Tour. Subject to their being places remaining available on the tour, the Tour Organisers will reply requesting that you complete the "Booking Form" and agree to pay a sum to cover the out of pocket expenses they incur on your behalf arranging entry fees to places you will visit and refreshments. Return your tour booking form to the Tour Organisers and confirm you accept the tour indemnity. Upon receipt of the "Booking Form" the Tour Organisers will provide you with the "Booking Code" for The New Bath Hotel. The Tour Fee is £170 per couple and £90 for a single participant. What does the payment to the Tour Organisers cover? The payment will cover out of pocket expenses they incur on your behalf arranging the following: > Entry in to the visitor attractions we plan to visit. > Production and printing of the Tour brochure. > Rally plaques. > Lanyards. > Some tickets for light lunches, teas, coffee. > Welcome pack. > Entertainment in the evening.
