Franklin at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Years of British Hill Climb Champions" logo and there is David Franklin
recorded on the leg of the "7".
David Franklin is a talented
race driver who competed at the MG Car Club's annual meeting at Silverstone in
the 70s and 80s in his "wife's shopping car", an MGBGTV8. In the wet
he was faster than many modified cars on thetrack.

Maude-Roxby says he met David Franklin at the Festival of Speed at Goodwood last
weekend and had a chat and found David was in good form doing timed runs in a
Ferrari 275 GTB(C), a big 12 cylinder front engined beast! David's best
time was 57.92 secs taking 18th overall. See

British Hill Climb Champions" logo and there is David Franklin recorded
on the leg of the "7". He had several successful seasons and became
the British Hill Climb Champion in 1978 driving a March-BMW. |
