Nurse Walter Kallenberg sends seasonal greetings
An curry evening has been an annual feature of the V8 Register's calendar of events since the first V8 Curry arranged in Epsom in 1979 by Peter Beadle, then parts manager for the University Motors' branch there. Over the years it has moved from curryhouse to curryhouse - Putney, Richmond-upon-Thames, Watford, Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Cambridge, Fosters Booth (on the A5 near Towcester) and now for several years at a very pleasant curryhouse in Knowle near Solihull. Knowle is not far from Stoneleigh so it is convenient for members staying overnight nearby for the annual Stoneleigh show the next day.

With his seasonal greetings, longstanding V8 member Walter Kallenberg says Brigitte Kallenberg "is home from hospital but is still in a wheelchair for the next few weeks, so I am now the best nurse in town!" In the photo alongside, Brigitte's foot is wearing a seasonal red cap with a white fur edging!

Walter hopes to be over from Germany as usual in February for the MG-Triumph Spares Day at Stoneleigh and for the V8 Curry in Knowle the evening before.
