Stuart Danton has been in touch to say the "with great sadness I have to tell you that Jean Allen passed away in her sleep just before midnight last night. Judith and I had spent much of the day at her bedside and I can confirm she was at peace".

Jean Allen was widowed in 2006 when Geoff Allen, her husband for over 50 years, passed away. They had lived for many years in Abingdon when he had worked in Rectifications Department at the MG Plant. Following the closure of the plant Geoff set up his own MG servicing business in Abingdon and Jean supported him in many ways, not least with bookkeeping and driving to Moss near Twickenham to collect replacement parts! Jean clearly enjoyed driving the V8. They later moved to Congleton in Cheshire.

Jean suffered a fall and a broken hip early in September 2015 and as she was recovering it became clear her impaired mobility would need her to relocate to a local care home. Her neighbours Stuart and Judith Danton provided truly exceptional support throughtout.
