Barry Brickland's MGBGTV8 in Melbourne was originally owned by a doctor in Scotland and in 1976 it was purchased and shipped back to Australia by Richard Smith when he was over visiting Scottish relatives. It was bought by Barry in August 2011 who began a restoration and today the car looks splendid. Barry says he's interested in MGs and particularly enjoys his V8 - "I enjoy driving mine, they are so smooth and quiet but have grunt".

Barry completely rebuilt his V8 over three years so everything was done including more insulation on the floors and behind the engine. "T
hey are a great usable classic car, especially for touring".
