was the inlet manifold adapter called a "pair of trousers"? The inlet manifold adapter on the MGBGTV8 was known as the "pair of trousers" at the MG Plant in Abingdon. The late Geoff Allen (foreman in Rectifications Department and at the factory for 27 years before the plant closed) used to mention some of the amusing things that they enjoyed there - one was their name for this component (BHH988 carburettor adapter assembly) because . . . well it does look like a pair of trousers!.
