value on eBay?
Buying books and other items on eBay needs care as
the offers are not necessarilly good value. Here we reveiew the online offers
for copies of MG V8, the popular book on the MGV8 models from David Knowles which
was published in 2014. The range of prices is surprising and interestingly there
is clearly a group of offers in the lower half of our chart which seem to be good
value.

at copies of David Knowles' book - MG V8 - advertised on eBay, the spread of prices
the book is offered for is puzzling. The chart alongside shows the prices including
UK P&P offered by UK traders. The lowest is £19.29 and the highest
is £40.00 with an average of £30.67. The price of the
book on the publisher's website - Crowood - is £30.50 which is effectively
on the average.
Five good value offers range from £19.29 to £24.68
so the highest there is offered at a discount of £5 or 19% on the
average and Crowood prices.
When
the V8 Register offered 100 copies of this book for sale on the V8 website in
2014 they were offered as copies signed by the author as that was the only way
we could compete with the dominant tax avoiding online traders! |
