Fairmile
natter at Cobham in Surrey
Regular meetings of MG enthusiasts
each month are a feature of the MG Car Club, each managed by a group of enthusiasts
with its own character and interests, but they all include the opportunity to
meet and talk with fellow MG enthusiasts. One successful natter is at the Fairmile,
a comfortable pub on the Old Portsmouth road between Esher and Cobham in Surrey
(southwest of London) close to where it passes over a bridge above the M25.
The
Fairmile natter usually meets on the second Thursday of the month - the
next is on Thursday 11th February for a table top rally. You will need
to bring a copy of the 1:50,000 scale OS map 187, a torch (the lighting in the
room is poor!), a magnifying glass, paper, pencil and a rubber.
Ideally you work in pairs, but it's not essential.

Ailes (MGBGTV8) runs the Fairmile natter with Jon Glover (MGC) - they
have just had a feature on the Fairmile natter in the March issue of Practical
Classics. See their contacts above together with the Fairmile
postcode for satnavs. |
