Nic Houslip "spent the day at Shelsley Walsh yesterday at the Drivers School. A band of 30 would-be competitors made a series of runs up the hill, observed by experts and marked accordingly. The RV8 was the only MG - the mix of cars eclectic with Westfields, Caterhams, Lotuses and some exotica including an Aston Martin Vantage and a very highly developed Porsche Cayman. In the old brigade was mid 30s Riley and Allard with side valve Ford V8 and a very early Bugatti. Only one incident, a spin, no damage and no one hurt. Pictures taken at the startline (left), Bottom Esse, and Top Esse". Having experienced too much wheel spin in 1st gear, his next attempt in 2nd which turned out to be an attempt at leaving the start line in 4th was however unsuccessful!
