Costello 1927-2015 Malcolm Bailey has made a V8 Register Facebook posting
reporting "Ken Costello, the man whose MGB V8 conversions persuaded BL management
to support the MG Plant's project to build the MGBGTV8, has died aged 88. Founder
of engineering firm MG Costello, Ken was a hero in MG circles as well as a racer,
flyer and automotive designer. He even drove a Brabham BT19 in the film Grand
Prix. His dedication to refining and re-engineering MGBs and Cs ensured Costello
MGs are recognised classics today, and that his name resonates as one of the most
valued in the British motor industry." |
