2015 V8 Technical Day for V8 members is to be held at a new venue, the John Thornley

visited Club HQ before now is your chance! The suite is a purpose built room with
state of the art presentation equipment.
The programme for the day will
cover various aspects of owning a V8 MG, with three principal speakers:

 Mike
Macartney - Building a V8 Roadster
If you have been following Mike's rebuild
story posted on the V8 website, this is a chance to hear first-hand the trials
and tribulations of undertaking such a project. Reports

 Mark
Wanstall - Hoyle Suspension upgrades
Mark is the owner of Fisher Services,
based in Sydenham in SE London and in 2014 he bought John Hoyle's engineering
business. Mark is a long term MG V8 owner and has fitted a number of the Hoyle
suspension upgrades over the years. He will explain the challenges of carrying
out such modifications. More

 George
Wilder and Chris Allan - "MG RV8 The Manufacturing Story"
 Many
members will have purchased this excellent book. George and Chris will tell the
story of how the book came about, its production and sales success. They are currently
working on a new book on the RV8 on which they will give us an early preview,
together with a short video on the production of the RV8 never before seen. See
a review of the book. More
 In
addition to our main speakers there will be updates on the current position on
ethanol in petrol, V8 cooling issues, the rolling VED exemption and an explanation
of the recent research on MGBGTV8 and RV8 values for our updated price guides.
