Lake says "I used this outfit to transfer my European Event of the Year 2015
entry fee to the Dutch Club and it cost me £1.49 for a transfer of Euros
380. Not quite as quick as my bank, First Direct, but speed was not an issue.
One of the problems with International events is the eye watering fees that the
big banks charge for a currency transfer. I shall use them again, and wonder if
it would be of general interest to fellow V8 Register members.

the way my bank stopped the transaction initially on the grounds that it was an
unusually large sum despite having cleared a similar amount for my Rover car insurance
the week before. When I called them for an explanation they were pretty sniffy
about TransferWise, a competitor with good customer service and I suppose they
