Norton Brewery tour Friday 19th June 2015 What sets the Hook Norton Brewery apart is the way the beer is made. No automated systems leap into action here. Instead, someone will be here to coax the steam engine into life and then climb the stairs in order to rouse the beer by hand, using a paddle, 365 days of the year. The tour follows every stage of the ten stage process as the brew rises and falls through the brewery building. Brewing process Lunch at the Pear Tree Inn This attractive pub is located at the entrance to Brewery Lane at the lower end of Hook Norton village. There is parking alongside a small green in front of the pub. The pub offers light and cooked lunches - and of course the local beers! It's essential you pre-order as our group is quite large. do I join a tour of the Hook Norton Brewery on Friday 19th June 2015? Debbie Brading has arranged our tour of this seven storey brewery with a magnificent steam engine providing much of the motive power. and each tour guide is able to accommodate around 10 people. If we have more than this then they will arrange for 2 tour guides to show us around but just start in slightly different parts of the brewery so we are all able to complete the tour at the same time. The tours begin at 11am prompt and take approximately 2 hours ending with a tasting in the visitor centre. do I join the lunch at the Pear Tree Inn at Hook Norton on Friday 19th June 2015? This popular annual informal lunch has been held for well over 20 years at the Pear Tree Inn, the nearest pub to the Hook Norton Brewery. Meet at the Pear Tree Inn from around 12.30am for lunch from 12.45pm. Members on the brewery tour will join the lunch just after 1pm.
