The home of one of the most remarkable men of the 20th century
Nuffield Place reveals the surprisingly down-to-earth lives of Lord Nuffield, founder of the Morris Motor Company, and his wife. Their home and personal possessions are just as they left them, the decor and furnishings intact. From the comfortable sitting room with a small black and white TV, to Lord Nuffield's humble bedroom with a secret built-in workshop, this intimate home exudes the tastes and interests of its remarkable owner. Nuffield Place is one of the smaller, albeit extremely friendly National Trust properties. History of the house

There is a café serving light refreshments on site. The house and café are open from 11am. Entry prices.

Visit to Nuffield Place on Wednesday 17th June 2015 at 11am
Ian Quarrington has arranged a group visit to this interesting house and gardens, formerly the home of a very successful but modest man. Parking at the front of the house is not open for public parking but the manager has welcomed us as a visiting MG club and arranged space for 12 MGBGTV8s there as Nuffield Place are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of the MGBGT. As space in front of the house is limited, early booking is necessary for a place there.
