NEC Classic Car Show 2014

This is the end of year show for classic car enthusiasts and has many exhibitors (both trade and club stands) extending over many halls. The Club has a large stand there. If you plan to go tomorrow or on Sunday it is best to travel there by train if possible.

Nic Houslip did a live upgrade on the sidelights on Debbie Bradings MGB Roadster using LED bulbs. See our separate report out shortly.

For members outside the UK, the NEC is the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham, a modern purpose built building with many exhibition halls and good facilities. The NEC is located on the main railway line from London to Birmingham.

Three V8 members working on the Club stand at the NEC today - Ian Quarrington (currently Club Vice Chairman), Debbie Brading (V8 Secretary) and Nic Houslip (V8 Committee member) with the hardworking Club Office team. Debbie, Liz Allsworth (Club membership secretary) and Ian Quarrington have a competition to recruit the most members over the weekend. Martin Ashby had generously provided his chrome bumper MGBGTV8 (Bracken 1346) as part of the Club's display on the stand.
