for 90 minutes!

Brown contacted Club Office with a request for her Best Friend's 30th Birthday
treat! Jane said "the car of her dreams is a MGBGTV8! It would be amazing
if I could get her a ride in this car on this special occasion". The request
was passed to the V8 Register and soon the surprise trip for Gemma Barnes was
arranged for Friday 15th August. To ensure Jane could make it a surprise for her
friend, Gemma's family arranged for her to be at home to meet up with her family
and friends for lunch and then just before 1pm Jane announced she had a surprise
for Gemma's birthday outside the family's front gate hidden by a hedge - there
was the car of her dreams parked and gleaming in the sunshine. Gemma gasped with
surprise as Jane explained she was going on a birthday drive in the V8 from Ashford
Common in Middlesex down to the viewpoint at Newlands Corner up on the North Downs
just east of Guildford. The burble of the engine and the surge of the V8 power
