Gavin Bailey has recently finished a lengthy rebuild of his Factory GTV8 (Glacier White 0199) and after covering some 1,500 miles to let things settle down, he took his car to Peter Burgess in Alfreton to have the timing and fuelling set up on his rolling road. Gavin's engine was rebuilt with a pair of Peter's Econotune heads and a Piper 270 cam and it has BBU needles. He has K&N filters in the original lobster claws and the car runs with stainless tubular manifolds. It's otherwise standard apart from the Lumenition electronic ignition he has had for many years.

Gavin says "Peter Burgess spent three hours on the car and, between cups of tea and a chat about his business, did a fantastic job on the car. It's now producing 150bhp at the flywheel and is so much smoother to drive. I'd very much recommend a visit to Peter."
Gavin filmed the dyno runs and will send a copy for upload to the V8 website after his forthcoming move to the US. The video shows the car on the dyno running up to 130mph on the rollers! Gavin ends his report saying "Peter has never had a Factory GTV8 on the rollers for comparison - maybe you'd like to take yours? He did a great job on my car."
