Where to park up your MGV8 and find the V8 Marquee at MGLive!
For both longstanding members familiar with attending the Club's annual weekend MGLive! meeting at Silverstone Circuit, and for new members maybe visiting for the first time, it can be confusing as to where to park up your MGV8 and find the V8 Marquee. So this note aims to provide you with clear information on the layout of the central area for MGLive! this year which you can download and print off a copy of the DRY layout.

One matter that affects the layout at MGLive! is wet weather! Underneath the grassed areas at Silverstone there is a clay layer so if there is heavy rain those grass areas can very easily become waterlogged as there is no natural drainage - the only way the grass dries out is by evaporation which takes many days! Because the Formula 1 Grand Prix is held a matter of weeks after MGLive! the circuit managers have to ensure the grassed areas are not damaged by cars driving on them when the grass is waterlogged. Consequently if there is heavy rain there is a risk the circuit managers will declare the central grass areas off limits and a WET layout will be imposed. That layout removes the dedicated V8 Parking area and V8 enthusiasts then have to park in the general MG parking areas which are tarmac surfaced areas.
