Memorable
MG Routes are not simply about the tactile pleasure of driving
the road, particularly in an MG, but they are also about the
interest along the route from the views on the road, places
to visit, sights to see and of course refreshment at tea shops
and pubs! Yes that
is the theme of this MMGR series - a hedonistic approach to
MG motoring in all senses. An example is below.

Memorable
Days Out - a new series where members can contribute an
article describing a location they have particularly enjoyed
visiting whether it's a view over hills, across a river or over
country scenery, or a visit to a National Trust property or
refreshment at a cafe, tea room, pub or hotel where they have
enjoyed an overnight stay. Yes that is the theme for this MDO
series. An example is below.

Milford
(A3) to Goodwood along the A286 through Haslemere and Midhurst
Through the quiet roads of Sussex and sleepy villages, bustling
small towns and over the downs by the Goodwood horseracing course
and on to the airfield at Goodwood - it is a route which never
ceases to be a pleasure. Lunch on the verandah in the sunshine
at the Goodwood Aeroclub is a welcome prize for an enjoyable
MG motoring day.

Weekend
in Port Appin in the Scottish North West Highlands
Touring in the Scottish Highlands can take you to some areas
with less tourist traffic where there are some hotels which
are very comfortable where you can enjoy lunch or afternoon
tea with wonderful views across lochs and over to distant mountains.
One location is Port Appin alongside Loch Linnhe at the southern
end of the Great Glen between Fort William and Oban. MDO-01 |
