Statement on Wednesday 18th March 2015 Chancellor George Osborne is to
deliver his last Budget statement of the current UK Parliament less than two months
before the date of the General Election on 7th May. His
statement providing an update on the economy, including any tax announcements,
will come just weeks before Parliament breaks up at the start of campaigning ahead
of the poll.
George Osborne has already announced his spending plans for
2015/16 and has said "anyone expecting unaffordable pre-election giveaways
wll be disappointed because we will stay on course to prosperity" and balancing
the books. The Budget will be the sixth he has delivered in the current UK Parliament.
Over
the last four years we have seen fuel duty frozen and VED exemption
reintroduced for classic car owbers, both measures that have been a real benefit
for classic car enthusiasts.
As
usual we will have a prompt report on the measures announced which will be of
interest for the classic motoring enthusiast. within an hour or so of the Chancellor
sitting down in the House of Commons.
