NEWS
- V8 Day Out at Hardwick Hall postponed
 Ken
Clayton reports the conditions in Derbyshire are dreadful following the exceptional
snowfall and the continuing low temperatures, so he is postponing the event until
May. Further news of the new date and arrangements will follow. He thanks members
who had booked to attend the event originally planned for Sunday 7th April 2013.

Clayton reports "Derbyshire has had a considerable amount of snow. Last Saturday
it snowed continually for 24hours! Numerous roads around the county were closed.
Derbyshire are very quick to grit the roads, which helps greatly with opening
them up after such snow fall. However this would probably be the last thing you
want being sprayed onto the underside of your MGBGTV8! My RV8 is still in the
garage, and at present has some four feet of snow in front of the garage.
Given
these points, and further that the weather forecast for the next week is still
set for -6 C in Derbyshire for most evenings and that the day time temperature
is scheduled to remain at a paltry 4-8 C, it's my intention to postpone the
MG V8 Day Out at Hardwick Hall. I intend contacting the team at Hardwick Hall
tomorrow to rearrange the day for a date in May and a further NEWS update with
the new date and arrangements will be posted on the V8 website when the arrangements
have been finalised.
I hope that you understand the rationale for this
decision, and equally I hope that you will be able to support the event at the
later date."
