The V8 Dinner to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the V8 Register was held at Three Conies - a splendid pub not far from Silverstone.

A tradition at V8 Dinners is eight brief toasts - the first is the Loyal Toast here made by Barrie Franklin who included the Duke of Edinburgh with wishes for a speedy recovery. James Brooks Fisher offered a toast To The Ladies, then Bryan Ditchman toasted the Back Axle and reminded fellow members of the roll pin. Kai Knickmann from Stuttgart proposed a toast to the First Motion Shaft, a gearbox part that needs care. Victor Smith concluded with a toast to Absent Friends.
