How does the V8 Online Sales system work?
When you purchase an item using the online V8 Shop by simply clicking the "Buy This" button, you are then automatically transferred to the secure Stripe website providing international online payment processing. The information Stripe requires in order to process the transaction is automatically transferred to the Stripe secure server. That information includes the total cost (including post and packaging, and VAT if applicable), product description, quantity, and the currency used which is Sterling together with the buyer's mailing addresss and phone number. You then enter your credit or debit card details on the Stripe secure website and they are captured on their secure server using SSL encryption. A confirmation of purchase email is then sent by Stripe to the V8 Register so we can process the order and despatch the item to your address provided when the transaction was processed on the Stripe website. We usually aim to send out orders within 7 days.

How do I know if my payment has gone through?
You will receive a Stripe transaction confirmation email showing details of the purchase you have made, including a purchase Transaction ID.

What happens if I think I may have duplicated an order?
If you receive more than one Stripe confirmation email when you intended to make only one purchase, please let the V8 Webmaster know that you have placed multiple orders by mistake. He will be able to check with Stripe and arrange for a refund where necessary and answer any other queries you have about your order.

Are Stripe payments safe?
Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest level of certification available in the payments industry. To put it simply, any payment information sent to Stripe is sent securely and safely. With Stripe's Radar, Stripe will automatically detect and block fraud.

What is PCI Service Provider Level 1?
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) defines a "Level 1" merchant as one that processes at least 1 million, 2.5 million, or 6 million transactions per year, depending on which credit cards the merchant accepts. It is the highest, and most stringent, of the PCI DSS levels.
