"The 2000th and last MG RV8 was driven off the production line on Wednesday 22nd November 1995. Although small in numbers, the car provided publicity and a great deal of interest in Rover which kept the MG name and brand alive post Abingdon. 951130 More Hurricane damaged RV8 restored Ken Watson's RV8 restoration is unusual - the car was swamped by a tidal surge on the Cayman Island during a hurricane in 2004 but was brought back to the UK where Ken and Early BBBs (which is now called R G Classics) in Hampshire undertook the hard work of stripping and refurbishing the car.
