You
would have thought that being one of the most beautiful women
in the World, for some time, would make one of your former cars
worth a little extra, wouldn't you? Multi award winner Sharon
Stone's personal car, a 1979 MGB Roadster, was donated by Sharon
and her tax accountant, Marissa Chien EA, to be auctioned for
charity at Bonhams The Hollywood 100 Sale benefiting Project
Angel Food in June 2006. The 1979 Roadster (VIN GHN5UL499442G)
came with a hard top, soft tonneau cover and JVC CD player and
it had had covered 49,800 miles. The car had been recently repainted
in 2008 although the colour had been changed from White to Green
at some time. It was said to be in excellent condition. It was
estimated at US$ 10,000 - 30,000. But it did not sell.
It was then displayed for sale at the Auto Collections at The
LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas priced at US$18,500. In
three years, it did not sell. It finally sold in 2009 at a Mecum
Auction for a mere US$5600 or £3,300] |
